In this paper, ‘Intercultural Philosophy: Politics and Democracy in Africa,' I argue that philosophers down the ages have been men who have continually asked fundamental questions that have kept men thinking thoughts that have produced significant results in the history of the human society. These thoughts have often crystalized into ideologies that have refashioned the ideals of the society in the search for a better socio-political system. Philosophy and philosophers must continue this search to reposition the political ideals and systems conducive for governance that is geared towards development. This paper, using the method of critical examination argues that the system of governance that can stem the tides of bad leadership and poor governance is democratic communalism with the principle dialogue – communalis kratein dialogic.
