This paper highlights the relevance of Artificial intelligence (AI) in general and the ChatGPT in particular. Artificial intelligence offers extraordinary opportunities in all facets of human life. At the same time, there are gross ethical questions surrounding Artificial intelligence. One of the main ethical dilemmas facing AI is that of liability. Who is responsible for the actions performed by an AI system? If an algorithm makes a decision that has a significant impact on people's lives, who is responsible for it? This question becomes especially important when it comes to decisions that affect human life, health care and safety. In response to these questions, this paper, through hermeneutic analysis argues that Artificial Intelligence system is not a moral agent and could not be ascribed as such. All ethical caveat and responsibility therefore, revolve around the human agents, who are the designers, developers, and users of all AI products. It is therefore the onus of the human agents to keep an ethical eye on their activities in the Artificial intelligence industries.
