This article discusses the problem of injustice as exemplified in racism, sexism, economic exploitation, violation of human rights among others. It adopts the 'JPIC Programme' of the World Council of Churches as the model for redressing them. It concludes with the provision that the most effective way of ensuring justice is for the church to conscientise the oppressed peoples so that they can rise up and participate in their own struggle for liberation by themselves.
