Religion and culture have historically played significant roles in shaping societal norms, values, and practices in Nigeria, a country known for its diverse cultural and religious landscape. This paper explores the interplay between religion, culture, and the promotion of human dignity in contemporary Nigerian society. It examines how religious beliefs and cultural practices influence the perception and treatment of individuals, particularly regarding issues of human rights and dignity. In Nigeria, where Christianity, Islam, and indigenous religions coexist, religious teachings often intersect with cultural traditions, impacting various aspects of daily life. These influences can be both beneficial and detrimental to the promotion of human dignity, depending on how they are interpreted and practiced. While religion and culture may provide moral frameworks that uphold human dignity, they can also perpetuate discrimination, gender inequality, and other forms of social injustice. Through an analysis of current socio-cultural dynamics in Nigeria, this paper addresses the challenges and opportunities for advancing human dignity within religious and cultural contexts. It discusses the role of religious leaders, community elders, and policymakers in promoting values of tolerance, respect, and equality. The researcher will apply a secondary method, by consulting books and journal relevant to the title of the work. Furthermore, it explores initiatives aimed at fostering interfaith dialogue, cultural exchange, and education to counteract harmful practices and promote a more inclusive society
