Though 21st century is data driven development era, proliferation of wrong data affect learning contents and process. Formal education established to convey objective learning is endemically challenged in containing errors and somewhat debased learning. This study intends to interrogate the challenges of debased learning in a proliferated data world. Through a thematic qualitative analysis, the study assesses Allen Goldman’s veritistic theory of truth as paradigm for categorizing truth and non-truth value learning approaches. From epistemological critique, it advocates the need and essence of formal learning which anchors its learning contents and process on their verifiable truth value.
