The rate at which public office holders in Nigeria embezzle public funds calls for a serious urgent attention. Again, there is a remarkable link between embezzlement and Economic and Social rights. It is a truism that Nigeria is an agony of a nation. This is because of the level of poverty and misery that uncharitable embezzlement of public funds by heartless and cruel government officials has thrown us into. This essay meticulously analysed and established the relationships that exist between embezzlement and economic and social rights in Nigeria. Using the method of analysis, it is the findings of this research indicate that embezzlement has serious negative effects on the enjoyment of the economic and social rights of Nigerians. The essay concludes that embezzlement violates the human economic and social rights of the people of this nation.
