issn: 2971-7310 ÃŒJÃRÃ’RÃ’ is an African philosophy students’ journal of philosophy. The word ‘ìjÃròrò’ is a Yoruba term for ‘conversation’ or ‘deliberation’.It is chosen because the journal is geared towards bringing in African philosophy students, (post)graduates and undergraduates alike, into academic conversations for the ultimate goal of adding to the existing body of knowledge and possibly proffering solutions to the existential problems in our society. Accordingly, the journal is first African, because it accentuates African wisdom. It is for students, because it is geared towards making the voice of students heard in the African dispensation – soro soke!
ÃŒJÃRÃ’RÃ’ is published three times in a year and this is the maiden edition. The staff of ÃŒjÃròrò are Philosophy students, drawn from several universities across Africa and the world, some of whom belong to The ÃŒjÃròrò Network for Young African Scholars. ÃŒjÃròrò accepts articles by undergraduate or graduate students of philosophy, but not from those with terminal degrees. Topics may be from any area of contemporary interest in philosophy or its history with particular interest in African approach alongside other relevant discourses on socio-political issues.
