This study looks at the possibility of using religion especially Christianity to consolidate peace and liberty in a democratic setting. The study which focused on Nigeria's democracy examines how religion is used to consolidate democracy and promote peace and liberty. Using the qualitative method of data analysis where emphasis is placed on primary and secondary documents which involve library, non-library and online sources are used in generating data for the study. The findings of this study implies how particularly Christian religion plays a significant role in the consolidation of democracy and liberty given its important place in advocating some principles of democracy, which involves equity, farness, freedom, pluralism, respect for diversities, and defending minority rights amongst others. However, the study upholds that instead of using religion to pursue selfish political ends, there is every need for relevant actors to ensure that institutions in Nigeria state are strengthened to provide the dividends of democracy.
