Jos Journal of Linguistics, Literature and Culture (JJOLLAC) is a peer-reviewed, online journal dedicated to publishing research on a full range of topics related to Nigerian languages, literatures and cultures in all areas. It welcomes high quality well-researched original manuscripts on theoretical, descriptive and experimental aspects of areas within its scope of coverage. It is a publication of the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, Faculty of Arts, University of Jos, Nigeria.

The journal publishes two issues every year – in April and September. Supplementary and special editions may be published as the need arises. Submissions are received throughout the year. Final revisions for the April edition must be received on or before March 20, and final revisions for the September edition must be received on or before August 15. Each edition endeavours to publish articles that spread across different areas of its scope of coverage. Submitted manuscripts are subjected to an internal review by the Editorial Board, after which those accepted for consideration are sent to three external reviewers for evaluation. Final publication depends on the quality of the manuscript and the recommendations of the external reviewers.

Areas covered by JJOLLAC include, but are not limited to: phonology, phonetics, phonotactics, syntax, morphology, morphosyntax, lexicology, lexicography, semantics, pragmatics, stylistics, sociolinguistics, contact linguistics, bilingualism, multilingualism, literature, language and culture, ethnolinguistics, historical and comparative linguistics, translation, language in the media, forensic linguistics, computational linguistics, and sign language linguistics. Only papers that have not been published, or are not in consideration for publication elsewhere can be submitted to JJOLLAC. Submissions should be done electronically by e-mail attachment to: editor.jjollac@gmail.com. Receipt of submissions will be acknowledged by e-mail. Authors should submit along with the manuscript, but separately, the name(s) of the author(s) in the form in which they wish them to appear under the title of the article, current institution, mailing address, e-mail address and a contact telephone number. Manuscripts should be in MS-Word, typed in Times New Roman 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing, and should not exceed 5000 words (including endnotes and references). Manuscripts that exceed 5000 words may be acceptable depending on the content and the decision of the Board. Sections in manuscripts should include Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Data Analysis and Conclusion. All manuscripts should have an abstract (100-200 words) with relevant keywords (minimum of 3 and maximum of 6). Authors may translate their abstract into any one language of their choice whose readership they want to attract, including Nigerian languages. The referencing style should be the latest edition of the APA style (currently the 7th edition). JJOLLAC is a full open access journal. The copyright of each article is jointly owned by the author and the publisher. Each author of a published manuscript is entitled to one print copy of the journal after publication.
