Adevelopment. The very first step to removing such hindrance will be citizens' awareness of inherent obstacles to development, clarity as to the nature of the hindrance then, followed by the mindset of citizens, quality of leadership, ideology formation, assemblage of patriotic, visionary leadership helpers, strategies for holistic development, citizens' mobilisation through conscientisation and finally implementation. Our method in carrying out this research is integrative humanist and our goal is to create sufficient selfawareness, self-motivation self-identification and the forging of a national spirit. This study is adopting a qualitative, historical, diachronic and synchronic research modes. Our key recommendation is radical, emphasising the complete over haul of our nation building tactics through socio-political and economic reengineering.
