The Nigeria crisis is a complex socio-political issue characterized by ethnic and religious conflicts, economic disparities, and governance challenges. The crisis has resulted in widespread violence, loss of lives, displacement of communities, and a general breakdown of social cohesion. Hence Buber's philosophy posits that meaningful dialogue and engagement between individuals and communities can foster empathy, respect, and cooperation, thereby transcending divisive identities and promoting peaceful coexistence. This research will attempt thesis questions such as; what are the key principles and concepts of Martin Buber's dialogic philosophy? How can Buber's dialogic philosophy be applied to the Nigeria crisis? What are the potential challenges and limitations of applying Buber's philosophy to the Nigeria crisis? What are the implications of Buber's dialogic philosophy for promoting peace, reconciliation, and social cohesion in Nigeria? This research will use dialogic method. With the dialogic method, it was discovered that Martin Buber's dialogic philosophy, which emphasizes the importance of genuine human connection and mutual understanding, holds potential for addressing the root causes of the Nigeria crisis which is lack of communication, sectionalism, tribalism, nepotism and corruption of all kinds. I therefore recommend Buber’s dialogue as a means of bringing out the best qualities in the nation in the most peaceful way.
