Abstract

This study analyzes the burgeoning landscape of educational technology (EdTech) in Nigerian education, where technology-driven innovations are bringing transformative shifts in the teaching and learning paradigm. The first section of this study underscores the pivotal role of EdTech in revolutionizing education and its potential to address the challenges prevalent in the Nigerian context. Traditional education strengths and limitations are examined, setting the stage for profound changes brought about by EdTech. This study explores the multifaceted role of EdTech, highlighting its capacity to provide access to quality educational resources, facilitate personalized learning experiences, and empower educators with novel pedagogical tools. Importantly, it navigates the nuanced landscape of challenges, including the digital divide and ethical concerns that accompany technological transformation in Nigeria. As the contour of teaching and learning evolves, this study analyzes the evolving roles of educators, the engagement of students, and the cultivation of essential skills to be relevant in the digital era.
