The study investigated the influence of parental involvement in school management on the academic performance of public secondary secondary schools in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State. Three research questions guided the study. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The population of the study was made up of 1,252 teachers and registered parents in public secondary schools in Orumba South Local Government Area, Anambra State which comprises of 352 teachers and 900 registered parents. The study used a researcher-designed questionnaire. The instrument was validated by two experts: one in Educational management and one in Measurement and Evaluation from Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze. The research questions were analyzed using the mean statistics and standard deviation. The findings of the study showed that basic parental involvement in educational activities, decision making and discipline enhance students’ concentration and participation thereby improving their academic performance. Parental involvement were found to have a direct influence on students’ academic performance, particularly in discipline and educational activities. Decision-making also influence academic performance conspicuously by enhancing accountability and sustainability. This motivates the students to perform well because they are fully represented in all levels of school management.
