FACTORS AFFECTING THE TEACHING OF COMPUTER STUDIES IN PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN ORUMBA SOUTH L.G.A OF ANAMBRA STATE
The purpose of the study was to find out the factors affecting the teaching of computer studies in public secondary school in Orumba south L.G.A of Anambra State. To guide the studies, three research questions were raised and the instrument for data collection is a self designed 16 -questionnaire item and the statistical tool for data analysis was the mean .The study covered all the public secondary schools in the Orumba south local government area Anambra State The findings revealed that computer and other facilities for teaching computer studies is available in public, the computer teachers are qualified and adequate for teaching computer studies, the attitude of the student affects the teaching computer studies based on the findings, the researcher made the following recommendation: Government should further make efforts to adequately equip all public secondary school in Orumba south local government area with computer and other facilities to ease the work. Experienced computer teachers should be deployed in the public secondary schools by the post-primary schools commission Awka, Anambra state.
