Chukwuemeka Iloanya
Abstract

Inequality for eons existed in various guises and forms. It has existed in forms of slavery, sexism, racism, colonialism, etc. There have been attempts by sages and philosophers of all ages to let humanity understand that men are equal naturally. Their effort seems to be in vain considering various practices and behaviors that humanity exhibit towards another. The most unfortunate thing is that most people that teach about it compromise and practice or encourage the practice of inequality in disguise or adopt the type of inequality that suits them and sanctify it and condemn the one that does not go down well with them. The effect of inequality practiced in the world has resulted to various levels and degrees of abuse of the human person such as depriving of the fundamental human right, sex abuse, poverty, discrimination of various sorts, genocide, ethnic cleansing, etc. However, nature in various forms has tried in various ways to point to men that they are equal and the latest way in most recent time nature is trying to repeat itself on the teaching of equality of all the human persons is through the outbreak of the novel coronavirus which this paper will analytically establish on how it has affected humanity irrespective of status, sex, race, colour, etc, thereby, bringing men to nothing and reestablishing and reemphasizing the equality of all humanity.
