This paper observes that some of these countries include; Nigeria, Niger, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Somalia, Cameroon, Colombia Afghanistan, Pakistan etc. This paper discovers that poor governance, ethnicity, social inequalities, political infighting and unemployment are the major causes of political instability and conflicts in the Global South. Employing the methods of hermeneutics and critical analysis which involve interpreting the cases of political violence and conflicts and critically analyzing the impacts on sustained development in the Global South, this chapter argues that if there is no appropriate major put in place to curb these conflicts, there can never be a sustained development and peace in the Global South.
