This paper examines the practical application of existentialist philosophy within the Nigerian educational system. It investigates how existentialist principles can be integrated into pedagogical practices to foster student engagement, critical thinking, and holistic development. Employing qualitative research methods, including literature review and case studies, the study explores the historical origins and philosophical underpinnings of existentialism in education. Key aspects were examined including the relevance of existentialist themes such as freedom, authenticity, and personal responsibility in addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing Nigerian education. The findings suggest that incorporating existentialist principles into educational practice can enhance student agency, resilience, and socio-emotional well-being, thereby contributing to a more meaningful and transformative learning experience.
