To be educated and or learned is very much dependent on the content of curriculum with which one is taught as well as the language of communication used from childhood or earliest education. Education leads one out of ignorance as educere and leads same person into knowledge as educare. And language as a basic-literate vehicle of communication makes education possible and achievable. Equally, Philosophy of Education saddled with the responsibility of developing the content of the curriculum is very strategic in this regard. By extension, Igbo Philosophy of Education in line with the general decorum of Philosophy of Education helps a lot in the development of the content of Igbo language in line with the demands of Nigerian Policy on Education (NPE) on mother tongue for integral development of the Igbo people.Using the method of historical and critical analysis the researcher finds out that Igbo Philosophy of Education and Igbo Language, therefore, are indices for the holistic development of an genuine Igbo person as such.
