This paper critically examines the impact of globalization on Africa, arguing that the continent's integration into the global economy has perpetuated neo-colonialism. Under the guise of economic development and modernization, globalization has created a deceptive comfort that conceals the exploitative nature of neo-colonialism. The author contends that Africa's reliance on foreign capital, technology, and expertise has led to a loss of sovereignty, cultural erosion, and economic dependence. Furthermore, the paper highlights how globalization has exacerbated income inequality, environmental degradation, and social injustice in Africa. Ultimately, this research calls for a reevaluation of Africa's engagement with globalization and advocates for a more equitable and sustainable development model that prioritizes African agency, self-determination, and socio-economic transformation.
