Education in Nigeria faces critical challenges such as outdated curricula, overcrowded classrooms, insufficient resources, and widening social inequalities. These issues are compounded by an emphasis on individual success over group development, resulting in an educational system disconnected from societal needs. This study employs a qualitative approach to explore the potential of integrating Ubuntu philosophy into Nigerian education as a solution to these challenges. Ubuntu, with its focus on interconnection, shared humanity, and community responsibility, offers a framework for fostering empathy, collaboration, and social responsibility. The study highlights the importance of embedding Ubuntu principles into curriculum design and teaching practices. One key recommendation is the revision of national educational policies to incorporate Ubuntu values, promoting community-based learning and social cohesion.
