PLANNING TERTIARY EDUCATION MANAGEMENT EFFECTIVENESS FOR EMPOWERMENT AND JOB CREATION THROUGH EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The process of education is goal oriented. Following this trend is the process of planning for empowerment and job creation. The paper planning tertiary education for empowerment and job creation through emerging technologies and innovation for sustainable development. The paper discuss the concept of tertiary education, aims of tertiary education, relevance of tertiary education, goals and objectives of tertiary education, concept of planning and educational management, strategies for improving quality of tertiary education in Nigeria. The paper further discuss the concept of empowerment, job creation and sustainable development. The paper concluded that educational managers’ should be able to follow the planning strategies of tertiary education for effective management to achieve the aims of empowerment and job creation for sustainable development. It recommended that government should organized regular workshops to enable the managers to update their professional knowledge through the utilization of technologies
