This paper focuses on the ethical concerns thrown up from brands and models that trends in social media spawned from artificial intelligence enhanced pictures and the obsession with facade and the unreal. These AI generated pictures give off a perfect appearance of models which are admired and imprinted on the minds of young people. The infatuation with this false appearance and inauthentic image is a gross distortion of reality on impressionistic minds that are just developing. This phenomenon inarguably validates the agelong metaphysical problem of appearance and reality. The fact that AI masks the real looks of the model which ordinarily is uninspiring and nothing to write home about while their purveyors continue to extort and live off the ignorant and puerile minds of young people raises some penetrative ethical questions. Understanding the problem of appearance and reality by young people who are potential leaders of tomorrow will act as a shield that protects them from the roving and rampaging allures of AI generated pictures and models. Hence the need for the Nigerian government, both at the Federal and state level to step up the tempo of philosophical pedagogy by expanding the curriculum on general Philosophy education in our tertiary institutions while also masticating philosophy for pre-tertiary institution students.
