issn: NA The Resonance - Journal of Contemporary Arts Scholarship is a journal of the Department of Fine Arts, Federal University of Lafia. It is a peer review journal established in order to provide artists and researchers an opening to publish the latest research findings in their chosen fields of endeavour from the perspective of the artist and with a clear visual focus.
The editors would accept papers emanating from the history and theory of art, the visual, creative, fine, industrial and applied arts, the humanities, and social sciences. Collaborative multidisciplinary papers, reports of research in progress or studies from the field, reports on artwork undertaken in the studio, reviews of art exhibitions and latest art books are also acceptable.
Papers derived from original research findings, based on issues, opinions and ideas, or personal artistic knowledge or practice-based studio inquiry and results can be sent to the editors all year round for assessment and publication on an annual schedule. Ensure that such manuscripts have not been submitted elsewhere for publication or being considered for publication. Papers should be typeset in Microsoft Word 1997-2003 Compatibility Mode using double line spacing format, Times New Roman font type, 12 points font size and must not be more than fifteen (15) A4 pages, inclusive of all illustrations, photographs and references. Illustrations must be clear and all photographic material sharp and in fullcolour,wherepossibleata300dpiresolution. Each article is allowed a maximum of five (5) colour images; any illustration/image beyond that number will attract an extra charge of N5,000.00 (Five Thousand Naira Only). All illustrations, drawings, photographs should be labeled as Figures (Fig.) and numbering should be in Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.). Graphs, charts and tables should be labeled as graphs, charts and tables and numbered in Arabic numerals as well. Proper adherence to documentation of ideas is required, so that the Department of Visual and Creative Arts will not be held responsible for copyright breaches. Authors are free to use the most current editions of the APA, MLA or Chicago referencing styles. Each article shall be entitled to only two (2) copies of the journal. Additional copies would be sold at N5,000.00 (Five Thousand Naira Only) for additional co-authors beyond two(2) exclusive of postage – which will be based on prevailing market rates.
