VEJOH - VERITAS JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES

The paper analyses various literary movements in literary criticism as well as identifying the steps for effective critical review. Adopting critical discourse analytical approach, the paper examines approaches to literary criticism and reviews in the context of literary constructions and deconstructions. Based on the discourses, a pluralistic approach to the study of literary criticism is recommended. The pluralistic approach holds the assumption that no approach is all-encompassing hence; a critic should employ a mix of different but related approaches in the art of literary criticism and review.
