THE CONCEPTS AND RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN POLITICS AND MORALITY

The question of how politics relate with morality is crucial that it has evolved into a debate in intellectual and political discourses, among others. As a matter of fact, the debate has assumed a status that is critical in building a just society. Consequently, two opposing groups have emerged. On one hand are those who maintain that morality is an integral part of any political culture and is therefore, inseparable from politics. They equally argue that any conscious effort to separate morality from politics will amount to removing the very essence of politics and will also increase its vulnerability to all shades of practices.
