The evolving dynamics of blasphemy in contemporary time, as evidenced in the recent killing of Deborah Yakubu and Ahmad Usman in Nigeria for blasphemy, signals unquantifiable dangers from the trend of killing for blasphemy. To be proactive and check against the trend in the nearest future, this study proposes effective use of oral literature and new media by religious bodies to widely reorient the faithful of various religions about killing blasphemers or not, since blasphemy is a crime against ‘God and religious legends’ not living humans.
