The Catholic chuch is an expert is an expert in education. one cannot conceive of the traditions of education in the world today without acknowledging the indispensable role which the Catholic Church has played in their emergence. this paper has studied the role and contributions of the Catholic church towards education in Nigeria. It observed that the quality of education that the church is concerned with is about the whole person's life so far as it kbears his heavenly calling.
