Security, as a condition of being free from all forms of threat and/or danger, remains a human effort for the protection of lives and property. Through it, the primary value of human life is made more significantly meaningful. Nevertheless, this meaningfulness is supported by well-founded critical views, established in clear and distinct philosophical thoughts, and greatly imbued with proper and understandable theological views contextualized in Africa. This flow of ideas is the thrust of this paper. Using the method of hermeneutics, the researchers try to prioritise security amid human enterprises informed by a sound philosophy and enlightened by a humane science of God within the boundaries of African Weltanschauung.
